An embedded team that took security seriously.
AmbiSecure is the security business unit of Ambimat Electronics — established 1981. We have spent four decades shipping hardware that survives the field. Security is what we add to that DNA, not a marketing layer over someone else’s reference design.
Safeguard a connected world.
To safeguard our highly connected world against cybercrime — creating safer work and personal environments by pushing trust into hardware, where it cannot be phished, leaked, or quietly replaced.
Solve the IoT security problem.
The IoT security problem is not one problem — it is identity, attestation, provisioning, key rotation, and secure update, all at the scale of millions of devices. We build the silicon-rooted primitives that make each of those tractable.
From PCB design to hardware-rooted identity.
Ambimat Electronics started in Ahmedabad in 1981 as an engineering services firm doing PCB design and firmware for industrial customers. Over the decades the team has shipped Bluetooth-based hardware (the Hedron project for Ciright), wearable platforms for Actofit, biometric + GSM security devices for CEEL, prosthetic-control electronics for Robo Bionics, and tens of thousands of smart labels for retail and logistics.
AmbiSecure was carved out as the security-focused practice when our customers began asking the same questions repeatedly: "how do I provision keys at the factory without leaking them?", "how do I make this FIDO-compliant?", "can this card carry a JavaCard applet?" Those are not questions a general embedded team answers casually — they require dedicated practice with Secure Elements, GlobalPlatform, FIDO Alliance specs, and personalisation line tooling. So we built that practice.
Today AmbiSecure ships authenticators, designs JavaCard applets, integrates Secure Elements into IoT and payment hardware, and runs the FIDO Validation Server backend that some of our customers use in production. Our sister property, esim.ambimat.com, focuses on eSIM/eUICC and telecom-grade embedded identity.
Five things customers consistently say.
Cost effective
Our supply-chain reach across silicon, contactless, and biometrics keeps per-unit costs honest, even at pilot volumes.
Single point of contact
One project lead from kickoff to shipment. No handoffs into a fog.
Fast turnaround
In-house PCB, firmware, and applet expertise compresses iteration cycles — we don’t wait on a vendor for every spin.
One-stop solution
From applet design to certification to personalisation tooling — the whole chain, in one team.
Vendor relationships
Active relationships with Sharp, Avnet, Arrow, Mouser, Digikey, Future, Element14, PEI Genesis, Belden, and others.
Standards-aware
FIDO Alliance, GlobalPlatform, ISO/IEC, GSMA, NIST — we cite the documents we work to.
How customers work with us.
Discovery
Threat model, constraints, certification needs, target volumes.
Architecture
Standards-aware design: which SE, which applets, which protocols, which provisioning flow.
Build
Hardware, firmware, applets, personalisation tooling — iterated against real silicon.
Deploy
Pilot, certify, scale. Field telemetry where it matters.
